Hello, fellow readers. J. J. here. Sorry for being away so long. Over the past few months I’ve had a few health problems and some other personal issues that I’ve had to deal with. It’s all better now though, so I’m able to carry on with life and enjoy myself.

My troubles haven’t kept me from working on the second book in my series: The War of Light and Shadow. I’m just finishing up the first draft and it should be ready for editing in a few weeks. I can’t wait for my readers to continue following the adventures of Simon O’Toole and his allies as they face the Lords of Chaos and try to end their evil forever. It’s a tall order and there will be twists and turns along the way, but somehow Simon always manages to make it through to the end, doesn’t he? Let’s hope his good luck continues.

On a side note, where the heck does the time go? Here we are in the middle of June, a few days away from the start of summer. That’s amazing! I really have to get away from my PC more often and enjoy the season. As a Canadian, I’ve had more than my fill of winters and I savour the sights, sounds and scents of summer. They do pass by quickly, don’t they? So I’m a very happy man right now!

Anyway, I just wanted to touch base with whoever stops by this little corner of the internet. I’m still here, I’m still writing and, as always, I’m still loving the creative process. I wish you all the best of holidays, (assuming you get any!), and I’ll report back as the novel progresses.
