Bio: I've been a life-long reader and writer, especially of high and epic fantasy. I love to lose myself in other people's worlds and I'm thrilled that others now feel the same about mine.

  1. I hope you write book #4 ,the first 3 books keep me on the edge of my seat so to speak. I am anxious to find out how Simon figures out how t deal with the stronger dragons

    • Thanks so much! Book 4 of the series is well under way. Things are going to get a lot rougher on the New Earth as Simon confronts the strongest of the primal dragons. I hope you enjoy it when it arrives this summer. Thanks for writing.

    Hi James,
I couldn’t find anyway to message you besides here and Twitter and I don’t have one of those, so here I am. I’m about 60% done with the dragons of decay, and I’m loving it so far, but one thing is bugging me a bit. I might be jumping the gun here and the answer may come later, but why didn’t Simon use Fire Elementals to kill the undead during the attacks, since they seem to love battle and the undead are weak to flame.
    Thanks for your time.

    • Hi Gage,
Thanks for the comment. As weird as it sounds, I can’t speak for Simon; he’s his own man. 😉 However, I will say that he is still learning the ropes as a wizard, and he can’t really think of everything at once. Also, as you read the book, you may notice that he seems to be in a constant state of weakness/confusion. So much is happening at once, I have a feeling that he is leaving a lot of his potential untapped and going with what he knows. He has had limited experience with the fire elementals and I have a feeling that he’s a bit leery of them. They are, after all, pure destructive power. By the way, I have a link at the end of all of my books to my email, so please feel free to drop me a note at any time. Take care!

      • James,
Thanks for the speedy reply. I did find the link but for some reason it wouldn’t open anything.
        Thanks again,

  3. Hi, are there going to be any more in the Titan series, as i really want to know how Justin gets on.

    • Hi Tony:

Definitely. The next book is coming along nicely. I expect there to be two more books in the series and I hope the next one will be out this summer. Thanks for the interest and take care.

      • Hi James, can I ask why the wait? Whilst I have enjoyed the new earth books, please finish Justin’s story.

      • Hey Tony,
I do apologize for the long wait between books. The problem is that, as a working writer, I have to do jobs outside of my home just to support myself, on top of my writing job.
So, while I write every day, I still have to make a living and pay the bills. There’s a glimpse into the life of a struggling artist for you. 🙂 But rest assured, I will not leave Justin and his story to die alone in the wilderness. The book progresses and will be published this year. I just can’t give you a timeline right now.
Thanks so much for your continued interest though. Readers like you are why I keep slogging along on this wacky path that I’ve chosen.
        Take care,

    • Hi Gillian,

I’m hoping to have the third book out around Christmas time. Of course, life being what it is, there are no guarantees, but that is my goal. Fingers crossed! Thanks for caring. 🙂
